Volunteer

Saguache Works provides opportunities for area residents, particularly seniors and retired folks, to get involved and make a difference. Volunteers staff the Welcome Center, Food Store and Thrift Store seven days a week. Friends and neighbors come to visit as well as shop, and the stores provide a comfortable gathering place for rural community members.

Internship

Internship

"Earn while you Learn," a high school student internship program, is now in its third year. During this time, scores of students have had the opportunity to learn basic workplace and customer service skills, to be involved in the startup of Homegrown Totes and to train as baristas in the Blue Earth Cafe, all while earning a modest stipend and gaining high school credit. Saguache Works believes that youth involvement is key to community revitalization efforts.
